India…..intoxicatingly bizarre yet awakening while almost nauseating and magical. It’s pure organized chaos with moments of stunning beauty….almost like intriguing art….with pure pain behind the flower that just burst open to share its fragrance, stopping you in your tracks. Then moments later, the assault of hunger, unimaginable disparities and back breaking hard work.
Over a billion people, camels, elephants, cows, dogs intermixed with rickshaws, motorcycles, cars…. ebbing and shifting as though they were all meant to be exactly where they are like a crescendo in a musical.
Everything is hard….really hard. It’s the craziest but most beautiful place on earth as there is this feeling of unconditional love for humanity. They smile, lend a helping hand at a drop of a hat and there is pride in the many accomplishments that could be easily hidden in the rubble.
I believe that in this place the beautiful Indian people seek peace because around them in day to day life, they have none….they have no room for hate because each day they get up to triumph over simply living.
